Green House is a significant argricultural method which could alter the environment andprovide advantageous conditions for the better growing of plants.And the question how toimprove the monitoring level and the automation of a green house system has always been themost important one in fields of computer technology and automation.There are quite a fewkey requirements of a desirable growing environment, such as a considerable humity, a propertemperature, a moderate condensity of CO2, an adeaquate sunshine, and so forth, for plants togrow in a green house.By utilizing modern information technology, the real time monitoringand automation managing system of a green house could be realized, which would largelypromote the refinement of agriculture production, improve the quality of agricultural productsand the efficiency of production, and reduce the cost. However, due to the reason that themonitering of a green house environment needs a plenty of wiring, there are still someobstacles such as the construction, the maitainance of a green house. Moreover, the ratherhigh temperature and humidity in a green house requires an accurate monitoring systemwhich means that a signlechip would not be sufficient to meet the needs.The developemt of wireless network now has provided a new resolution for theautomation of agriculture production. ZigBee is a new short-distance wireless device whichhas certains protruding features such as less complexity,low chip rate,low-powerdissipation,and low cost. Taking all the things into consideration, this wireless newtechnology should be taken full use in modern agriculture. For the traditional problems ingreenhouse control system, this paper attempts to use wireless sensor network technology todesign a set of agricultural greenhouse control system based on ZigBee technology to achieveunattended remote management and monitoring, to avoid the complexity of wiring thetraditional cable transmission, failure and other problems which are difficult to maintain,and reduce cost savings, making the greenhouse monitoring and management moreconvenient.Analyze the development at home and abroad of greenhouse construction andmanagement of information technology. Give a general introduction of wireless technologyand ZigBee wireless sensor network technology. On this basis, this paper will furtherelaborate the purpose and significance of the greenhouse remote monitoring system based onthe ZigBee. Describe the communication standard for IEEE802.1.5.4/Zigbee wireless sensornetworks. Then this paper will discuss advantages of ZigBee and WiFi technologies as well asthe applicability of the system, and propose a overall system design combination of twoheterogeneous network. Design and implement various modules of the system hardwarewhich includes data collection, greenhouse control, data transmission and heterogeneousnetwork protocol conversion. The design is based on Zigbee CC2430used in line with the RFchip and a variety of sensors, conduct. And ARM controller heterogeneous network protocolconversion could be used for data acquisition and transmission. Design and implement eachmodule of the system software. The entire system software includes data acquisition module, greenhouse control module, data transfer, protocol conversion and PC control processingmodule. The entire implementation includes the research of a microcontroller application,embedded development on ARM and PC software development. The system modelsimulation tests and the corresponding simulation experiments have shown the stability of thedesigned greenhouse control system, real-time and user-friendly operation,which indicatingthat the monitoring and management could meet the needs of the greenhouse.
