With the improvement of people's living standard and the scientific and technological progress, the automotive industry has tremendous development in the worldwide.But when the auto industry brings convenience to people, it gives rise to various negative effects at the same time. The two technologies of energy saving and environmental protection would become the two main themes of current development of the automobile industry. And to develop urban bus may alleviate all kinds of the negative situation of current urban transportation system temporarily. Same time, people have also developed a variety of energy saving and environmental protection urban buses. The design concept of these new urban buses is most for a single energy to develop the technology of energy saving or environmental protection.The energy type is single and comprehensive utilization rate is low. So the urban buses would not get the maximum available energy to use.The urban bus intelligent energy re-use control system which is studied in this paper can automatically store and reuse the variety input energy. Simultaneously the paper puts forward a research for the potential energy of bus passengers. It can provide the maximum energy supplement for the urban bus body power system, reduce non-renewable energy consumption, lighten the environmental pollution and improve the comprehensive utilization rate of vehicle energy and so on. The system is mainly composed of input energy data collection, stored energy data collection, main controller data processing, real-time data storage and control output function. It can provide a good deal of intelligent re-use for single energy input or variety energy input and it is a more comprehensive and more perfect design of energy saving or environmental protection urban bus.The paper firstly outline domestic and international developments of urban bus system, discusses the overall system design, provides system function and principle of work and makes an detailed exposition of the control strategy of the system intelligent controller. According to the system's functional requirements, AT89S52 is selected as the core processing unit, the peripheral circuit is designed, including software and hardware design of micro-computer and control output module. What's more, it makes more detailed analysis on some key components and makes some preliminary system debugging finally.
