As the mobile commutation network is developing faster and faster, theincreasing demand on the market has promoted the development of base stationconstruction, thus increasing the energy consumption. One of the majorconsumption comes from the air-conditioners for temperature control. How toreduce the energy consumption of air-conditioners serves as a crucial point onbase station energy saving. Besides, with the increased number of base stations,the burden on maintenance and managing of base stations is becoming heavierand heavier. High efficient managing on base stations is required. Therefore,based on the energy saving and managing requirement from the base stations, wehave developed the energy saving and managing system for mobilecommunication base station.We firstly introduce the current situation on the energy consumption of thebase stations and development on the corresponding energy saving technology.Focused on the huge energy consumption from air-conditioners, we havedeveloped the intelligent ventilation energy saving system to serve as thetemperature controller. Thus the proposed system can reduce the running time ofair-conditioners and save the corresponding energy. Besides, we have introducedthe internet of things technology and developed the managing functions onattendance, malfunction alert, anti-theft function and so on.Based on fully feasibility study, we have developed the hardware system,including the core control model, the temperature and humidity detection model,the plate motor driving model, the fan motor driving model, the air-conditioncontrol model, the malfunction detection system, real time clock model, thehuman-machine interaction model, imaging system, SD card storage system,lighting control model, human detection model, IC card model and networkmodel.Based on hardware platform, we have developed the software system,including the software on micro-computer, the software on ARM and thesoftware on the managing and control center. Finally, we test the whole system which verifies that the proposed system can satisfy the energy saving and highefficient managing requirement of the nowadays mobile communication basestations.
