In glass and ceramic milling industry, the ball mill often operats in light loadstatus, and its load changes very frequent, the long-term development of this situationleads to a serious waste of energy.To solve this problem, carring out a systematicdesign of the ball mill’s energy-saving controller.For light loads inefficiency, analyzing the relationship of energy consumptionduring ball mill running, and its efficiency under different load conditions based onthe equivalent mathematical model of asynchronous motors, thus establishing thestratege of voltage regulation to saving.Deriving the formulas to generate SPWMsignal, proposing the energy saving overall system scheme with closed-loop speedcontrol considering the requirement of relatively constant speed.Under the guidance of the overall scheme, designing DSP hardware controlplatform, completing the construction of the main power circuit and control circuit,including the rectifier circuit, the inverter circuit, the voltage, current and speeddetection sampling circuit, the drive isolation circuit, and power supply circuit, alsoelaborating the design principles, completing relevant circuit parameters calculationand devices selection.Dividing system software into several functional modules and designing themrespectively, elaborating the design ideas of each software module.Developing themain program, fault interrupt subroutine and other function subroutines in CCS,including the system configuration and initialization module, the voltage, current andspeed detection subroutine, the PID adjustment subroutine and SPWM signalgeneration subroutine.Establishing the simulation model of energy-saving controller with Simulink andverifing its feasibility and effectiveness.The result shows that the system design canwell meets the energy saving and speed control requirements druing ball mill running,achieving the desired design goals.And further analyzing and proposing the directionand methods to improve.
