It is the base to spread cultures abroad for teachers and students in university libraries, and also the important institution for teaching and scientific research in universities to offer literatures ensured, and it is the important room which is offered for teachers and students to study, too. Therefore, it affects the process of teaching and scientific research directly whether good or not the service quality of university libraries is. At present, each of libraries in universities is sparking plug the idea of reader fist and service foremost. It is obvious that centering on readers is the key work for university libraries to offer higher quality service, and reader satisfaction is the important symbol to measure library service level. Owing to the reason of every aspect, the quality of service which each university library offers is different, and the reader satisfaction is different either. Therefore, it is a very important problem that which point we are setting out to evaluate reader satisfaction of university libraries.Evaluating the reader satisfaction of university library is not only good for understanding reader's need, finding out the difference between library service and reader's need, but also for finding out the problem existed in library service, adjusting management policy. The paper sets up a comparatively full and scientific evaluation system by researching on university libraries, using basic theoretic and method of mature client satisfaction degree and combining the character of university library itself. Then it establishes an evaluation method which is the same with reader satisfaction degree of domestic university libraries by bringing analytic hierarchy process of operations research to evaluation on reader satisfaction degree of university library. Finally it carries on analyzing university libraries chosen in the range of Jilin province by the evaluation method. The result shows that the method is scientific and applicable, and it is real and effective. It makes an important guiding role for improving service ability and the future development of university library.The article first analyzes the research background and significance of reader satisfaction degree of university libraries, then sums up the domestic and foreign research on reader satisfaction degree of libraries, pointing out the significance of evaluating it and making it the topic to be the research content and method. Secondly it makes the statement on university library service and reader satisfaction degree theory related, and lays the rigid foundation for coming research. Thirdly, in the kernel chapter of the paper, it sets up an evaluation method of reader satisfaction degree which is based on analytic hierarchy process, according to a common process of evaluation. Finally it gets an integrated result of reader satisfaction degree of ten university libraries, while analyzing the ten university libraries chosen to be the object of research by this method. According to the evaluation result, it analyzes the problem existed in domestic university libraries nowadays, and provides a relevant countermeasure on improving reader satisfaction degree. The paper makes a summing-up for tasks done during the whole process in final conclusion, and points out the innovation of it and the value for theoretic and practical application, even looks a head for the evaluation task of reader satisfaction of university library in the future.
