With the rapid development of internet technology, digital library has been popularized as extension of traditional library. It attracts increasing users with varied services. As one of most important self-support service items, FAQ (Frequently Answering Questions) service provides users with convenient and fast information transmission, and satisfies users’requirements of knowledge share and discipline construction. However, the qualities of FAQ websites vary from one another, which cause low usage and high duplicated work. On basis of current situation, the thesis has found factors influencing on FAQ websites construction in colleges and universities. It has also put forward a system of evaluation factors.The thesis consists of six parts:the first part outlines the FAQ assessment problems, this part includes the FAQ website evaluation necessity as well as the evaluation purpose, significance; domestic and foreign websites evaluation research, on the FAQ website evaluation subject, evaluation methods, as well as the direction, from the whole of the present site evaluation status a summary. The second part system of construction phase, according to the website evaluation index of five construction principles, establish the target system of decomposition, the judgment matrix to calculate the corresponding weight values of indexes at all levels, eventually forming evaluation system table. The third part is the evaluation stage, the University FAQ website evaluation index system to evaluate the sample of colleges and universities. According to the evaluation table design index system of university teachers and students, the questionnaire survey, on the FAQ website design, content, design and various other aspects of scoring, summary of the calculation to obtain the final results. The fourth part is a discussion of the stage, according to the evaluation process in the case, such as the overall structure, the page arrangement, information content problems and achievements, the author puts forward the corresponding suggestion. The fifth part through further analysis of the root of the problem, try to other services associated with the library, to establish the general process of library website service, guiding users to better use of the library services. The sixth part of the paper is the limitation and prospects.
