| The Office Automation system has been widely used in many enterprises. However, current OA system is located in LAN of enterprise and cannot be accessed from internet, so it degrades the business efficiency of enterprise. Therefore, it is necessary to extend current OA system and make it accessible from internet for employees, for example, after extending, the employees can process their work assigned to them from internet when they are on business. This upgrade will improve the business efficiency of enterprise greatly.To change this status and guarantee the security of the OA system, a wireless WAP-based office automation portal system is designed and implemented in this paper, which integrates the distributed system, internet/intranet, and wireless communication technique. This novel system consists of three modules, that is, the OA system, the OA-proxy module which located on the same machine with OA, and the WAP website. The OA-proxy is the bridge of OA system and WAP website, which makes the three modules collaborate well to fulfill the important working flow task. With this system, when a paperwork is assigned to one employee, this system will send a SMS to the employee and then this employee can process his work from anywhere at any time by his mobile phone. Besides, this system provides the real-time telephone number update function.This system is a typical distributed system, involved OA system and OA-proxy which located in LAN, and the WAP website located in internet, thus it needs to synchronize the data and states among those involved modules. How to achieve this is the key challenge of this paper. How to ensure the correctness of state machine is another challenge. By now, this system has been deployed in one enterprise for test, the running states and results is good. |
