As the advanced of the technology of wireless communication and micro- chipmanufacturing and other technological, WSN research had much progress in many areas. The popularization of IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN and IEEE 802.16 Wireless Broadband Network, all make the wireless network technology had achived the rapid development, sloving the problem is key to choose a Protocol standards . by current the wireless network based on IEEE 802.15.4 protocol technology become the focus of the study.ZigBee technology is a new short-range, low rate, simple, energy saving, low-speed, low consumption of wireless network technology. It is combined with communication technology and computer technology , and has a collection of information transmission and processing capabilities.ZigBee technology can automatically network between in the structure of star,tree and mesh. It is widely used in national security, environmental monitoring, traffic management, logistics, warehouse management, medical care, a wide range of areas such as smart home. ZigBee have good market prospects well as many challenging problems to be resolved. Such problems include the ZigBee protocol stack implementation, network organization mode setting, energy-saving mechanism protocol of layers and so on.This paper focuses on wireless sensor nodes and networking protocol stack and according the stack implement a multi-point star wireless sensor network platform.The researches are included:1.Detailed introduce the ZigBee wireless sensor network technology concepts, architecture, applications, and focused ZigBee protocol stack to present its preliminary implementation.2.According to features of ZigBee technology presents a typical design of wireless monitoring system to the field ,gives the solutions about the system hardware and software,and established the temperature sensor model with CC2430 with ATmega 128.3.Proposed energy sensing algorithm based on AODVjr routing protocol to reduce network power consumption as much as possible.Experimental results show that the simplified the ZigBee protocol stack have some reference value and practical significance in wireless sensor network applications.In the final sum up the thesis and proposed future research directions.
