In the power plant, equipment is very important. Not only during building the power plant a great deal of money has been spent on the equipment, but also after the power plant putting into production. The equipment which is the main part of the power plant is the key of the corporation to living. In the international, the equipment management of this kind corporation is the most important part in the project management.On the basis of the hydropower project's characteristic, the equipment management has been divided according to phase, infrastructure period and run period equipment management. For the cycle of the hydropower project building is so long, there is the problem that the information in the design and manufacture phase-infrastructure period can not joint the information in the running phase-run period, which brings much obstruction and difficulty of the equipment management.Based on the thought of overall life-cycle management, fully analyzing the main operation flow, the overall life-cycle equipment management is proposed; Integrating the foreign advanced project management (PM) idea with the equipment management status of the hydropower project at home, the paper is implemental the infrastructure period equipment management; According to the run period equipment management's character, and the rule of information system implementing, IFS corporation's rape EAM production could been put into practice successfully by custom-build, which realizes run period equipment management.The system not only supports the PM of step hydropower plant in infrastructure period, but also can realize information integrated between infrastructure period and run period. In the infrastructure period, the information about material, equipment, supplier and so on is the necessary, to avoid the same technique document and data information filling in twice, accumulate technique data for run-maintenance period, establish the firm basic for normal and smooth production, and achieve PM and EAM conjoint successful.
