Implementation Of PDM System Project For Auto Institute

PDM(Product Data Management) is a new rising technology in nineties. It is widely used at home and abroad on account of effective implementation of its enterprise information integration and process integration. Now, with the expansion of business needs, PDM technology research and development has been quite common, its use can shorten the product design cycle, reduce engineering design changes, speed up the progress of products to market, reduce total cost.The main purpose of topic is a new PDM system implementation in the automobile research institute, and correct the problems of development process in the data model management, product configuration, BOM management, design changes through the implementation of system, and standard development process research of automobile, improve the construction of R & D management system.The implementation of the entire system uses Dassault Enovia system as a platform. After the research of various departments of the Institute, it works out a detailed design for the institute needs. Then it needs the second development to the original functionality of system, finally it will be used on-line after the test of actual working cases.Through implementation of the PDM system, it can achieve three functional modules including the data model management, product configuration and BOM management, design change management of Institute. And construct the vehicle development process management platform for collaborative product development initially, optimize and improve the corporate brands technology management system, achieve standardized development process and R & D data concentrated, accurate, and structured manage.
