High-performance processor core is the crisis and hardcore in the embedded system. At the present the 32-bit RISC processors what are widespread used in the embedded system design, such as the ARM of the ARM processor, IBM's Power PC processor the MIPS processor of the MIPS processor are commercial kernel, users must pay relatively expensive authorized fee.The OR1200 attracted many designers in its completely open source and the compiler its simple structure, strong commonality and portability, have complete development platform, which is very suitable for embedded systems design. The research about the OR1200 is attentioned more and more in academia and industry. This thesis is in this context with the tutor for Qingdao science and technology plan projects technology to achieve a microprocessor based on open source of embedded. SOC gateway chipsBased on various and the OR1200 microprocessor related peripheral IP cores verify with the design, IP core, using the FPGA design ideas, realized the ASIC design front end design and verification.Based on the hardware system and network operating system support added support, constitute a embedded systems. Operating system selection uC/OS-â…¡real-time operating system. Network protocol stack chooses a lightweight embedded Ethernet protocol stack LWIP.This system realizing a chip embedded SOC gateway chips front end design in FPGA, system can be directly applied to router, also can be used in the embedded chip ASIC design of SOC gateway in front end design.
