| SOC(system on chip) appear to make integrated circuit on a chip system developed into a integrated system, more functions can be integrated on a chip. And each function module can be designed as IP(Intellectual Property),also the IP core has a relatively independent functions, with the aid of these IP and the standard bus interface, hardware engineers can make it easier to set up the hardware system platform.The design will introduce the SOC system, including the analysis on code structure of open-source processor OR1200, clarify logic structural unit, data flow pathway and various function modules. Then doing analysis on the SOC design of the IP interconnect bus Wishbone, following the design principles of IP reusing, transferring external IP interface package into a standard bus protocol.This design based on Linux(Ubuntu 10.04), the GNU tool chain and Xilinx development kit. This design doing the software simulation and verification firstly, and then makeing board test with Xilinx ml501 FPGA development board, finishing the verification of SOC hardware and software systems. This design follows the IP reuse design idea, set up a complete SOC system based on the open source processor OR1200 and the system follow the Wishbone bus protocol and IP core interconnection.
