The Design And Implementation Of A J2ME Based Mobile Payment System

Mobile E-commerce has a brilliant future, and mobile payment is one the most important parts of mobile E-commerce. Its definition is that the two parties trade by mobile equipments. As the users have to operate the cellphones and send confidential information vai wireless network, security, confidentiality and easiness of use become the most significant problems in mobile payment.Currently there are many different types of technology that can implement the mobile payment. J2ME is the best because of its many advantages. Also there are many structures of mobile payment system, and the structure that centered by the third-party payment platform provides the best flexility.The paper discusses the features and advantages of the J2ME based mobile payment system centered by the third-party payment platform by introducing the basic theory of working of mobile payment system and analysising and comparing different system structures and mobile payment technologys. And It lays strong emphasis on discussing how to solve the security problems by using XML encryption and XML signature, and how to overcome the limitation of the hardwares of mobile equipments, and how to improve the easiness of use of the client software by using the functions provided by J2ME. Finally, the result and the defect of the system are evaluated.
