Research And Development Of The Logistics Management Information System For The Medium Or Small-size Manufacturing Enterprise

With the decrease in material consumption and the increase in productivity as two sources of profit, logistics management is now considered the third one for an enterprise. Nevertheless, most medium or small-size manufacturing enterprises in our country neither pay enough attention to logistics management nor get aware of its significance and value. Under the electronic-commerce circumstance, the information systematization of logistics management has been a crucial part for building information in a manufactory to keep pace with the development of advanced manufacturing technology. This thesis accordingly deals with research approaches and processes of logistics management information system in the medium or small-size manufacturing enterprises.The thesis firstly conducts a thorough analysis of management information system(MIS) and logistics management. Based on the findings of academes home and abroad both in modern logistics management and in smart supply chain, it then puts forward the current situation and problems of logistics management in the middle and small-sized manufactories. Furthermore, taking the factors, such as demands of 21 century advanced manufacturing model and E-commerce, etc. into account, it introduces a "mixed model" suitable for the medium or small-size manufacturing enterprises by assessing self-support logistics model in our country and third-party logistics model indeveloped countries.In terms of this mixed mode and modern management concepts, such as smart supply chain, client relationship management, BPR, etc, the thesis brings forward the concept of logistics management information systematization and establishes a model of logistics management system suitable for the medium or small-size manufacturing enterprises by investigating its current situation. In addiction, the modeling is achieved by adopting IDEF and UML.The thesis, upon the implementation of system modeling, introduces in details the design and development processes in light of MS SQL Server2000 database. Then it employs Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)to evaluate the third-party logistics enterprise and presents a simply and feasible approach to figure out the definite logistics track based on MapGIS. And the approach is fulfilled through the second development of MapGIS.It also concerns software structure of the logistics management information system in the medium or small-size manufacturing enterprises. Combining the current situation of information systematization and features of E-commerce , it submits a software system mixed by B/S structure and C/S structure.Lastly, the thesis explores the archetype system by Delphi7 and ASP.NET (based on VB.NET and ADO.NET), gives some running examples of the LMIS.
