With the rapid development of information technology and the continuous growth of marine traffic, it shows a lot of limitations that Chinese VTS (Vessel Traffic Service ) systems function alone. Therefore, it is one of popular studies that VTS systems realize information exchange with information and networking technology, and it is a job full of application and practical value. With the CORBA technology and the character of Chinese VTS systems, this paper addresses and researches the scheme of VTS systems information networking based on CORBA. It has studied as follow:1. It has analyzed the character of Chinese VTS systems. With regard to the heterogeneous trouble, it uses distributed computing technology to solve it.2. With the comparative method, it has analyzed distributed computing technologies. In consideration of the CORBA 's superiority in VTS field, it has adopted the scheme of VTS systems information networking based on CORBA.3. In terms of the principle of distributed system and CORBA technology, it has chewed over the system structure and module partition of the distributed VTS system based on CORBA.4. It has studied standard data format of VTS systems' information exchange, and designed software interfaces of the distributed VTS system with UML.5. By the experiment on PC, it has tested and verified the feasibility of the VTS data's transmission through CORBA.The theoretical analysis and experiment on PC declare that the study on the distributed VTS system based on CORBA has high reference value to VTS systems' information networking engineering, and provides technological bases to realize Chinese VTS systems' information networking as soon as possible.
