With the extension of enterprise business and the increasing requirement in distributed application, the implementation of information system becomes more difficult which may lead to larger failing possibility of project. How to develop an effective and strong system and how to enhance its reliability and maintainability is a question for discussion. As a result, the component-based software development approach is proposed. The key of this approach is to design different kinds of software components, which are reliable and reusable according to system analysis and modeling. Through assembling these components, information system can be fast developed. Comparing with the code-based method, it shows better. Currently much attention has being paid to this approach in the field of software engineering; there are a lot of problems to be research. Such as component analysis and design, component model, component sort and search, component reuse, assemble and standardization, component library construction etc. In this thesis two key problems are discussed, which are component model, component analysis and design.During the process of developing distributed information system, we raise a new information system-oriented component model and component design methodology, which are analyzed with formal description. Component coordination problem of information system is also discussed and simulated with petri net. Finally, a lawsuit information manager system with corba component is implemented depending on the methodology mentioned above. To solve the component coordinating problems existing in system, some effective measure is given. What have been done and what to be done in the future are prospected in the end.
