Research On Enterprise Information Resource Integration Based On CORBA

With the development of computer technology, it is difficult for the enterprise to keep the unified technical platform dealing with the information. Information resource of enterprise are composed of various OSs , programme languages, technical models and DBMSs. How to integrate these information efficiently, how to make use of existing resources, and how to minimum the cost of upgrading become the focus of research.OMG put forward the regulation of CORBA, a new way to integrate enterprise's information. CORBA is based on the distributed-component technology, which provide a mechanism of" software bus". In theory, any applicable system can be integrated into the COBRA system, if they wrap up the whole package according to the regulation of COBRA. Therefore, COBRA put forward the idea of 3-levels structure: client, broker, server. Broker is the embodiment of" software bus"In real application, it is not difficult to integrate existing applicable programme into CORBA. However, due to the disunity of CORBA product, DBMS and interface, integrating different information from different departments seems difficult.I will do some investigation on the methods of integrating the enterprise's information, from three individual aspects-broker, DBMS, interface.Through tremendous experiments, the essay will solve the problems which is based on the heterogeneous database(hDB) , make possible the various products' interchanging between Java and C++, and reliably guarantee the information's integration.About the heterogeneous database integration, it is suggested to set up a CORBA-based globe database views so as to make full use of the " package" programme , pack each table in hDB to individual COBRA serving object and supply the unified visiting interface. Therefore, through the self-defined Globe-SQL, broker manipulate SQL so as to control every table in database.About the user's interface, because Java Applet can be downloaded on line, and Applet can also be applicable for CORBA, we can use the unified interface by Java Applet and HTML.
