CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is a kind of specification made by OMG, which is used to solve the heterogeneous problem of system. As an object-oriented middleware, CORBA uses ORB(Object Request Broker) to carry out transparent alternation between client and server. It not only implements actual interoperations between different software and hardware products but also greatly reduces the complexity when developing distributed system, with the features of across-platform, across-language and across-network. Therefore, CORBA has become typical representative and mainstream technology of distributed object computing technology. But with the development of applications, a growing class of distributed system requires real-time support, such as military command and control system, avionics system and multimedia system. So Real-Time CORBA is proposed by OMG in Real-Time CORBA Specification 1.0, providing the support for distributed real-time application. This task is to build a real-time distributed agent model based on the study of CORBA, providing across-platform and distributed communication infrastructure for distributed software and its development in the battlefield. This thesis mainly focuses on two contents: the architecture of CORBA and how to build a real-time CORBA distributed model.First, the basic concepts and architecture of CORBA is introduced in this paper. Then we analyze the feature of distributed real-time system, the deficiency of conventional CORBA on the field of real-time and the framework of Real-Time CORBA in detail. Second, according to Real-Time CORBAspecification, a real-time CORBA distributed model is designed and portable object adapter of the model is optimized. At the same time, we discuss the other strategies of system-level performance optimizations. At last, this thesis analyzes the scheduling service of real-time CORBA. In view of the shortcoming of current scheduling service, an improved dynamic scheduling service model is presented, which makes scheduling service can be applied to more open real-time CORBA system.
