The medium and gender research belongs to the overlapping research area of feminism,communicationand sociology.It is an emerging research area and is also an edge region.The research's core is the feminism media criticism theory.In the 1970s,the overseas medium and the gender research emerged.China pays close attention to this research area started from 1995,World Conference on Women in Beijing.Compared with the overseas,this type of research in China late almost 20 years.Discourse power is the right of existence.The research of female's surviving status in media is not only contributes theory for the women who work in the media,but also provides great support of their development in their professional career.In the new century,the quantities of Chinese female media practitioners have increased remarkably.Nowadays,women can hold up the half of the sky instead of few women in sports media formerly.However, what is the current situation of the female practitioners in the sports media? Are they holding the equal rights with the male? The fact is,female practitioners may meet some indispensable issues on the employment, promotion,non-discourse subject and other aspects.There are following 4 main reasons that lead to such situation:1.There exists contradiction between obliteration of gender consciousness and outstanding female's advantages.2.The social gender psychological weaknesses which under the long-term suppression.3.Lacking of related theories to support. 4.The gender consciousness in the society and media industry will be improved.Reconstruction of discourse power of the female practitioners in sports mediaIt could be enhance the gender consciousness and equality consciousness in the society,increase the studies on gender and media theory as well as strengthen the female practitioners' self-quality in sport media.The significance of reconstruction lies in:reconstructing female culture,emphasizing the image of female player,constructing the harmonious society and harmonious media.
