Research Of Standard Parts Library And Development Of Management Tools Based On Pro/E Platform

This paper has two parts. The first part focuses on some key issues of standard parts library system based on Pro/E platform and the last part introduces standard parts library management tools. In standard parts library system two aspects are involved: the first is web-based standard parts library and the second is standard parts library based upon family table technology.In aspect of web-based standard parts library, the Client/Server model is presented to establish the framework of standard parts library on the basis of studying Client/Server network structure; the parametric design technology based on 3D model is analyzed, the methods of part template designed and standard parts library founded are stated. In aspect of standard parts library based upon family table technology, part family information modeling theory and family information describing method based on family table are investigated, the methods of part designed and standard parts library founded based upon family table technology are proposed.In standard parts library management tools three aspects are involved: the first is web-based standard part library management tools and the second is management tools of standard part library based upon family table technology and the third is double directions converting tools for web-based standard part and standard part based upon family table. In aspect of double directions converting tools for web-based standard part and standard part based on family table, the method which standard part model is automatically created is presented, by means of developing automatically converting tool from web-based standard part to standard part based upon family table, the integration of standard parts library and PDM system is achieved; the method of model automatically imported database from family table file is presented, by means of developing automatically converting tool from standard part based upon family table to web-based standard part, the 3D model parametric reconstructing in network environment is realized; the association of the web-based standard parts library and the standard parts library based upon family table technology is implemented.
