Research And Implementation Of Campus Information Portal

With the persistent development and completing of network technique, the tide of informatization impacted every corner of this world. As the battlefront and forerunner of network technique, the colleges and universities must be the same situation. Building the digitized campus is an important systems engineering to push the procedure of education informatization. Being the significant part of the digitized campus, the Campus Information Portal (CIP) is becoming the focus that the native colleges and universities research in.In this paper, firstly, the concept of CIP is expatiated, and the functions are analyzed. Then the status quo of the development about CIP is introduced particularly. Later the meaning to build a CIP is discussed. Following, the key technologies, including the definition, structure, characteristic, principle and the standard of Portal are introduced detailedly. Also the advantage shortcoming of the existing Portal product is analyzed. Based on all above these, comparing CIP with the Internet Portal and the Enterprise Information Portal (EIP), a design model of CIP base on portlet is put forward, and the process flow of this portal model is analyzed. Then binding an instance of CIP, the building of CIP with the framework of jetspeed-2 is discussed particularly.To feed the requirement about CIP, in this paper, a project base on portlet is bring forward. The operate mode of the CIP framework and the realization principle of the portlet are discussed, so the problems of system aggregation, personalization in building the digitized campus are settled.
