Research On Grid Portal Building Of Digital Library Personalized Service Based On Jetspeed

Grid can effectively integrate the mass，distributed and heterogeneous resourcesand realize comprehensive sharing and sufficient use of resources. But its compleximplements and diverse monitoring resources result that the efficiency of the gridresource management is too low. In this situation，the grid portal was produced. Itshields complex grid environment and is designed to build interface that is convenientfor user to interact and to operate resource. As an important application field of gridtechnology，digital library is also facing on massive，heterogeneous，distributed resourcemanagement problems. And as a surge in the quantity of users and informationresources，the limitations of existing service mechanism increases and the problems ofresources overloaded and information confusion is prominent increasingly. In this case，exploring digital library portal， especially grid portal building of digital librarypersonalized service，is of great significance. By comparing the existing grid portalbuild tools，Jetspeed has obvious advantages. Therefore，this article researched gridportal building of digital library personalized service based on Jetspeed.The innovation of this paper can be described as follow：（1）By using the methods of bibliometric and social network and mappingknowledge domains，this paper studied the status of the related areas.This paper directed at the problem on traditional content analysis method to studypresent situation description，such as subjectivity and one-sidedness. And it introducedthe methods of bibliometric and social network and mapping knowledge domainsanalysed the grid portal and the current research status of digital library personalizedservice. This is a new attempt on the method to analyze the research progress inresearch field.（2）This paper designed the construction of grid portal of the digital librarypersonalized service.Aiming at the problems of the lack of personalized services in digital library portaland the complexity of digital library grid environment. Grid portal is introduced into thefield of digital library and reflects the personalized service. At the same time，the authordesignes architecture and related function module of digital library personalized gridportal based on Jetspeed and analyzes the key technology solutions. The paper is divided into five chapters. The content is as follows：The first chapter analyzed the selected topic background and research significanceof this paper. On the basis of methods of mapping knowledge domains and bibliometricand social network and content analysis，this paper respectively analyzed research onthe grid portal，digital library personalized service，digital library portal at home andabroad and illustrated the research contents and organization structure in the paper.The second chapter analyzed the related theory and technology of digital librarypersonalized service，grid portal and digital library portal. And it provided theoreticaland technical support for the structure design of grid portal of digital librarypersonalized service.The third chapter designed the structure of grid portal of digital librarypersonalized service. The research content mainly included the design principle，overallarchitecture，function module. The function modules included user access，usermanagement，personalized service.The fourth chapter analyzed the key technology solutions to build grid portal ofdigital library personalized service and deployed the building environment of grid portalof the digital library personalized service and elaborated the building principle andbuilding process of portlet and grid service.The fifth chapter summarized the research work on the papar and prospected theresearch work on the next stage.
