Logistic technology of marching toward 21st century, is not only the "commercial logistics"of enterprise's strategy, but also the "social logistics"that realizing the supply of the materials to the whole society, and the pluralism network essential "global logistics"during the keen competition of the globalization market. Can predict, the 21st century will be the era in which the internationalized logistics have great developments, the logistic industry of this era will appear informational ,networked ,intelligent ,the flexibility ,standardized and socialized characteristic. The total of inventory assets is a fairly large proportion (about 30%) of the total assets of an enterprise. The economic benefit is very considerable for an enterprise if it has a little percentage thrift of inventory by management. So it is important that management inventory scientifically and lessening the inventory cost has been "the third source of profit". At present there are a lot of popular information management system about inventory management in the domestic software market, for example all kinds of stock and sale management system, MRPII system, ERP, inventory management system, accounting management system etc. However, most of these systems are for operation or for finance. These inventory management systems do works only functionally, i.e. these systems simulate information transaction and operation of the enterprise's inventory and don't carry out the real order of inventory management, which provides the users which the function of intelligent ordering support. This paper discusses the design outline and implement process of the Intelligent Inventory Management System. The system is a sub-system of the Modern Logistics Information Management System Platform V1.0. The paper also shows the works of studying theory about the design and development of the Intelligent Ordering System For Warehouse, which involves Management, Operations Research, Statistics and Computer technology etc. The system has comprehensive functions, compact interface and convenient implementation. The logistics management model is standard, normative and systemic. It shares the data fully by using network database. The users can obtain the exact inventory information of the wares in time. Thus they can adjust the present inventory logically and avoid the illogical overstock and scarcity of the wares. The system improves scientific management level, reduces the inventory, and enhances the working efficiency greatly. The system is robust, friendly and extensible. The Modern Logistics Information Management System Platform V1.0 is logistic information system based on the structure of the browser/server (B/S), needs Web server, supports network and database operating. The whole system is divided into two main parts: management information system of logistic and intelligent decision support system. The backstage data center adopts the data base style of opening, which is convenient to connect with the other databases. And management information system of logistic include stock control module and transport manage module 2 stature module, these modules were used to manage information flow,material flow and wagon flow, etc, offer the effective stock,vehicle dispatcher and delivery schemes to enterprise policymaker. Inventory model is one of the key technologies for building the Intelligent Ordering System For Warehouse. F.Harris made the first inventory model in 1915. From them on, experts and scholars all over the world who engage in studying inventory model have set up many good inventory models. We discuss some common inventory models the are divided into the definite models and stochastic models. They are the classical model is inventory models and abstract models. They are the classical model of inventory models and abstract inventory problem at different degree. Different factors are considered. That which item each model is suitable for needs to be decided artificially by circumstance of each model. By reason of the requirement of the fact and the complexity of the problem, there are a lot of difficulties to be solved further about inventory model, for example the problem of multilevel stock, the optimal ordering policies for perishable inventory etc. As an integrated logistics intelligent inventory system, the forecast technology is necessary. The system deals with the future requirement forecast of inventory wares. It includes phase totalrequirement forecast,unit time sequence requirement forecast and etc. So the forecast system is also an important part of intelligent inventory system. The system uses the improved VGBP instead of the traditional time sequence analysis and time sequence regression analysis methods. This method forecasts the future inventory requirement by using historical data and presents the charts and diagrams to the users. To build and applied the Intelligent Ordering System For Warehouse, the paper shows the background and the purpose of developing the system, and review the history and the present studied situation of inventory problem. So we elucidate the necessity and the widely applicability the paper lucubrates the problem of business inventory management, and discusses the various factors affecting the inventory. The paper presents the design idea, the frame and the main functions of the Intelligent Ordering System For Warehouse. On the base of the elementary inventory model we design the system from simple to complex. And it is considered that the system is extensible. So it will become perfect with other inventory models added continually. The Intelligent Ordering System For Warehouse employs the Hierarchical, which is divided into three layers, Browser interface layer, model –algorithms layer and database layer. Microsoft Visual Studio .net is tool for developing. ODBC is used which can connect any DBMS with ODBC driver. Here we use Microsoft SQL Server. In the process of design, the RUP rapid model technology and UML model are widely used. So the program is managed canonically in the process of development. We can obtain satisfied logistics inventory management scheme, reduce inventory cost as impossible and implement the anticipative purpose of saving the inventory cost by using the system. The important characteristic of decision support system is its decision instead of substitution. Optimize management and reduced cost will be considerable concerning the great radix of inventory resource, if the result of the system can provide excellent decision scheme to the logistics inventory users.
