The step of changing from traditional agriculture to modernagriculture is accelerated, along with agricultural application of allkinds of high technology and development of science and technology.Precision Agriculture (PA) is considered as efficient mode of worldagriculture development, and is efficient pattern of modernagriculture technology.There are main two methods to implement VRF. One is map-basedapplication and another is real-time sensor-based and control-basedapplication. Map-based VRF is the research hotspot. The flow oftechnology of map-based VRF can be done by applying GPS and GISintegration technology to obtain the farm electric map, and Makingdecision by plotting grids, naming cells, testing soil to get nutrientin soil, and build the nutrient databases.When exercising in farm, DGPSsign is got by CPU and adjust fertilization shaft rotate speed torealize VRF by identifying cell lying by applicator and transferringdecision-making information.VRF technology ideas is considered very reasonable and advanced, butsome technology difficulty are encountered when try to turn its ideasto reality. On my opinion, there are three parts works to do as follow:supported by GPS and GPS integration technology; Variable rate controlsystem; and special GIS software development, Therefore, research inthis paper is an important part of them.Two main parts are contained in my all research as follow:(1)VRF Special integration system designs, and develops which is basedon integration technology of GPS and GIS. Nowadays, GIS function becomepower and power, but they cannot fulfill VRF technology requirementssuch as getting electric map meeting some certain precision accordingto certain size and ridge in a field that VRF needed. At the same time,all GIS do not integrate GPS with it automatically. Therefore,Designing and developing special GIS software for VRF need become oneof the most important research content.â‘ The system developed in this paper is a kind of GPS/GIS integrationapplication system, whose function such as grids plotting, operationof Identifying parameters, database building, maps managing, GPSNavigating etc., is specially designed and developed for VRF. Thepurpose of it is to provide credibility and complete software flat rooffor VRF application.â‘¡System function devolped in this paper meted requirement ofdesigning objective, and realized how to plot cells, to manage data,to operate maps, to analyze data concerned by VRF. System have pastedexperiments test, and some good estimation have gotten. In "863"project, it completed the mission of 36ha VRF preparation works. Itplays important roles in VRF application. VRF application experimentshave proved that this software can provided all support for VRFapplication.â‘¢System development cost is so low; System security is good, andoperation is convenience and function smoothly, that it can be consideras VRF popularizing and application software. Therefore, on the groundof economy and technology, it is propitious of VRF demonstration andapplication.(2)Application study on spatial information collecting methods and itsdata application based on PDA, GPS & GIS integration technology.Spatial information collecting is the premise of realizing VRF, andit is the base of realizing map-base VRF. Pocket PC based on WinCEOperation System and GPS & GIS integration technology applicationprovided news mode for VRF spatial information colleting. This partresearch contents is as follow:â‘ Two kinds of GPS receiver have carried out position precision testand analysis. Some theories are provided for using GPS receivers inthe application of integration GPS and GIS.â‘¡Two kinds of GPS/GIS integration application system are realized byPocket PC is as follow: Spatial information collecting system andattribution colleting system. Some feasible and credibility dataconverting and processing methods are proposed. By those method, andusing DCAS system developed in the paper can meet requirement of VRFand can realize variable rate fertilizer.
