The development of electrical industry requires development of copperplating which is an key working procedure in the producing of multiplayer printed circuit. Power supplies of electroplating should have good working stability and good controlling precision, short plating time and strong ability of perforation. However, the equipment that has mainly been used for electroplating in china can't satisfy those requirements. Therefore, a new patter of electroplating power supply with fast plating speed, good filmuniformity, strong ability of perforation and high power-output will become a developing current.The paper presents a switch power supply with high power-output and high frequency for electroplating, which uses sine-squared pulse to supply power intermittently to electrobath and thus solves the problems of filmuniformity and performation in electroplating. The paper first introduces the application of electroplating power supply, and practical significancy of the task in the industrial application. The scheme of the switch power is presented as well.Basing on the theory of pulse power supply and principles of choosing a right power, the paper explains the advantages to use switch power with high power-output and high frequency for electroplating, and the ways to get several important parameters of such an experimental industry. The theory of switch power is summarized briefly and basic structure of switch power supply and corresponding circuits are introduced with an emphasis on the basis to choose right circuits in the designing of switch power supply with highly controlling precision and strong reliability.The paper presents the best parameters of sine-squared pulse throng repeating experiments and industrial practice, such as on-off ratio, the frequency and amplitude of the pulse. The switch power supply that satisfies designing requirements is presented as well, which changes the input alternating current (380v) to the sine-squared pulse with requiring parameters through imput filtering and commutating,...
