The high voltage pulse power supply has been widely used in various scientific fields such as the electric field sterilization,the plasma generator,the laser technology,the neutron logging,etc.With the progress of science and technology,the development of economy and the additional demand for oil,the pulsed neutron logging technology belongs to nuclear logging technique and it is widely used.The neutron tube is the core component in neutron logging technology.So,the pulsed neutron logging technology has become a hot issue.It turned DC high voltage power supply into a certain frequency and pulse width high voltage pulse by chopper.This high voltage pulse supplies ion source of n eutron tube.The neutron tube will release the same pulse neutron to meet the different requirement of logging.A high voltage pulse power supply system which can be used in ion source of neutron tube in neutron logging technology was designed in this paper.First,the research background,development status of pulse power supply,the purpose and significance of the topic and its application in logging technology is described.The structure of high voltage pulse power supply system is constructed.And the realization of pulse power supply,the principle of realization,the main components and the selection basis is described in this paper.The influence of high voltage on the control circuit is analyzed.Secondly,the high voltage DC power supply was designed and achieved.The working principle was described.A stable output DC high voltage power supply was synthesized by single-ended flyback inverter circuit and half-arm inverse symmetric voltage-multiplying rectifying circuit.It's the regular working basis of the pulse power supply system.Then,the chopper circuit was designed and achieved.The design of trigger circuit a nd isolation driver in the chopper circuit is provided.The working principle and structure are described.And the selection of switching component is also carried out.The voltage resistance of MOSFET was solved by serial MOSFET.And the half bridge chopper circuit has been designed for chopping function at high pressure.Finally,we built the whole circuit and PCB.The resistance load experiment is carried out with this system.We tested the different output waveforms in DC high voltage power supply circuit,trigger waveform of chopper circuit and waveforms of load when using different switches.The testing results are analyzed.The output pulse high voltage is 0-2kV,with a frequency of 500Hz-10 kHz which is continuous adjustable.The minimum pulse width of which is up to 40?s.The output pulse has fast rising edge and falling edge.The satisfactory system satisfies the power supply demand of logging neutron tube to ion source and can be well used in logging technology.
