Three-dimensional Cad Standard Parts Library Building A Database Platform

During products design, application of large numbers of standard parts is an important symbol representing design and machine level of a state or an enterprise, so the establishment of general standard parts library, which is fit for both nation standard and enterprise standard, is essential to the improvement of design efficiency. Based on the study and analysis of the Design methods of standard parts library, a system framework based on C/S mode is given; based on hiberarchy of standard parts and parameters abstract, a design method of database is presented and implemented for the purpose that the user can add standard parts to the standard parts library and apply them without updating and rebuilding the program and edit the parameter of the part size on specification any time. Using the methods above, the efficiency of developing standard parts library has been improved largely and a parts library building platform has been developed and used well in a Dedicated Computer Aided Fixture Design System for an Aviation Project.
