Nowadays, data warehouse technology has been a hot topic in computer science field. It specializes in data analysis, and separates the data analysis environment from transaction environment. In addition, it supplies advanced data analysis methods. At the same time, CRM has been another light spot following ERP in the field of Enterprise IT Construction. It focuses on supplying solution for the management of customer who is the most important resource of enterprise today. This article introduces both of them, and brings forward ideas which are used in practice and are discussed in detail in the article of applying the data warehouse technology to CRM and implementing data mining based on OLAP and its corresponding multidimensional database, and we design and implement an analytical CRM system based on data warehouse technology following the idea.The main technologies in data warehouse system include data warehouse, data mining and OLAP, and a whole data warehouse solution is built based on them whose architecture is shown in the article. CRM is an Enterprise IT solution, and it includes many functions. CRM can be classified as cooperation CRM, transaction CRM and analytical CRM by function. The article makes particular discussion of the application of data warehouse technology in CRM which includes the applications of data warehouse, OLAP and data mining. At the same time, it emphasizes the cooperation of the three kinds of technology and implementing data mining based on OLAP and its corresponding multidimensional database. In addition, we design an analytical CRM based on data warehouse system for a huge home enterprise. In the solution, we make well use of the data warehouse technologies. The whole system is based on data warehouse and adopts advanced data mining and OLAP techniques, and the implement of data mining is based on OLAP and its corresponding multidimensional database. The article discusses the modeling methods of data warehouse, OLAP and data mining, and the modularization of analytical CRM. At the last part of the article, it introduces the realization environment in brief, and gives an example of customer classification analysis in which implements data mining based on data warehouse and OLAP.The idea of applying data warehouse technology to CRM comes from practice, so it is feasible. At the same time, there is much theory thinking and research about it, and the application and research has certain theory meaning.
