We are overwhelmed by data——scientific data, medical data, demographic data, financial data, market data and education management data. People do not have time to read the data. Human concern has become a valuable resource. How to make full use of existing information resources to help schools make a wise decision to improve the quality of students while strenghthening their academic ability is an urgent subject in colleges and universities.Therefore, we must find the means to automatically analyze, classsify, aggregate the data, automatically identify and describe the trend in the data, automatically flag exceptions. Decision-makers can find the valuable knowledge from the massive data quickly and easily, and find the hidden information in it to help them make the right decisions. This approach is called data warehousing and data mining technology.Data warehouse is to use new information technology to provide the large amounts of data storage, analysis capabilities, and will build a strong relationship management system with data that couldn't be thoroughly analyzed before to assist in developing accurate business decisions. Data mining is to extract useful information, to find meaningful and users' interest in the mode of corporate management, providing a reference when making decision by using a variety of analysis methods and technology, and by analyzing, inducing, integrating the huge complex of historical data in the database.This paper focuses on how to combine data mining technology with educational administration to extracte the useful information from the hiding data. Build data warehouse according to the current situation of educational management system,using OLAP analysis tools to analyze students academic records and to use data mining methods deal with students' academic records. Use tree-classification-algorithm, combining the status of the school business processing to make a decision treee for the permances of all students, and use the corresponding classification rules to assess students' learning outcomings, direct or indirect factors affecting them. In turn, with these factors, the managers should fully take into account the gender of students, students sources and majors, the qualification and title of the teacher assighned to improve teaching effectiveness, undertake better teaching and ultimately improve teaching quality.
