Research On Standardized Web Courseware Developing System Based On SCORM Specification

As the idea of structuring studying type social spreading and the every people's education development boosting, the network education supported by the information technology, especially, computer network is developing vigorously. The development of online education needs support of the network instruction system. It is generally acknowledged, the network instruction system is made up of learning resource, learning resource developing system and learning management system. Among them the learning resource typically represented by the network courseware and it's developing system are the key elements of development of the network education. Each have a characteristic to make a general survey of the existing network courseware developing systems both at home and abroad, but as the network education developing, existing network courseware developing systems demonstrate their disadvantages: it is so unstandardized for network coursewares to develop that it is difficult to search, organize and manage them; network coursewares developed are unable to be tracked by LMS (Learning Management system), and LMS is unable to record the learners' studying data, unable to customize individualized study; the transplantation of the web courseware is poor, which depends on special instruction system. To these questions, researching and developing the standardized network courseware developing system has important realistic meanings.This research deeply investigated the standardized network courseware developing system's requirements based on SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model), and gave the standardized network courseware developing system's design idea, framework, realization method and the way to test conformance with SCORM. And, on the basis of the above research, through further investigation of SCORM RTE API, SCORM RTE Data Model Elements, and communication mechanism between SCO and LMS, compounding with popular webpage editor,the research realized a tool of Dreamweaver plug-in based on SCORM--QuestionsBuilder. Thistool is based on SCORM, and regards Dreamweave as the carrier and container, which can help courseware makers to develop the reusable, portable, trackable standardized exercise and examination courseware fast and conveniently, and provide the capability of mining the standardized study data and then realizing intelligent instruction for the instructors.
