Research On Solution Of Web Courseware System Base On XML

With the development of network education, network teaching plays more and more important role in modern education. At the same time, National standards correlated with distance education are being established and tending toward perfection, this bring about problems of how to make, store, share, deploy, search and release the third generation web courseware—XML web courseware, yet there is not a favorable solution to solve these problems at present. To develop and deploy a courseware integrated application platform is now hot issues for research and development worldwide.In this thesis, distance education, courseware situation and some existing problems have been discussed first. Then by exploring some correlated domestic and foreign distance education technology specifications, the paper discusses courseware data description model and data features and establishes a standard courseware data model and also binds the model with XML technology. Then the opinion of web courseware system solution base on XML is proposed intensively. Base on the framework of three-tire Browser/Server application architecture, we designs and deploys XML web courseware develop system, XML web courseware library management system, XML web courseware order on demand system. After that, the paper schemes out and design patterns of courseware making tools based on XML. And then we introduce some important ideas of developing tool software and key technology of realizing software. By using VC++, we realize a courseware making tools which according with CELTS specifications. Finally we make a software architecture analysis and system implementation to courseware player.The solution of web courseware system base on XML which introduced in this thesis achieves a courseware integrated application platform. Base on this platform, anybody can make, release, manage and use XML web courseware easily. It has somereference values for deploying a courseware integrated application platform.
