And the research on courseware, which is the most direct information exchange channel, attract attention to more and more people. At the same time, the research on the order program(courseware on demand) and publish of courseware on network become fervency, for the courseware can order with one's needs, learn by oneself instance and learn with no fixed time and location, so learner can learn anytime at anywhere. The file-service system and the hypertext-based system that are now popular both localized, they can not let the distribute activity of courseware on demand come into excute, and contemporary the information deep in the course can not be take out. The emergence of the Web Service technology makes it possible to realize the real distributed courseware on demand system. Whereas, the format of the courseware what are now built in great quantity do not support the dissert, take out, update, reuse and other function or the support is not enough. The courseware on demand still restrict in file on demand, not focus on the information and medium , thus there is great difficult for us to research and binding resource based on web service. Almost at the same time, XML is attract attention by a lot company and research team and has done some use in commerce by it's advantage in easy for network transportation, good-structured store format and easy for extension . Yet, the little people now working on the research of courseware based on XML and the authoring system correspond.This article began under such context. The goal of this article is : Work over the language which is matched the common teaching process based on XML, do research on the logical structure of the courseware , analysis the time, layout element of it and the relationship between these elements. Based on these research work, design and implement the authoring system which is based on XML, and then we can quickly generate and usher the XML courseware file.The main research work of author are:1. Finished the design of XML-based courseware building system-Authoring System: Authoring System is designed for CWML, it solved the problem that now there is nocourseware authoring system that supports the file form which is regroupable and open.The author of the course needn't do coding work, and then can easily and rapidly generateCWML-styled courseware through the visualable platform. Authoring System shows greatsupport to the construction of courseware database under the distributed networkcircumstance.4. Implemented an anti-typed courseware authoring system: Based on the design of authoring system, this article implemented a XML-based anti-typed courseware authoring system. This system is build on the technology of DOM, coded by VC++.
