Research On The Integration Of Heterogeneous Database Based On JMS And XML

As computer science and technology developing with each passing day, people's demands for information become more and more extensive and getting data from different data resource is badly needed by people. But because of the multiplication of Database Management System(DBMS), people often have to face different DBMS and even different Operating Software(OS), and applications are made difficult to realize mutual coordination. In many enterprises and government departments, for the reason of different information systems developed in different stage, there existed a lot of totally independent heterogeneous database application system which have been formed many isolated information islands. These enterprises/government departments urgently need to integrate these independent application systems and their databases in order to realize information sharing. This makes the heterogeneous database's integration an important subject for research on application technology of the database.JAVA Message Service has peculiar platform independence of Java, it adopts the asynchronous mechanism to deal with distributed application, can very easily realize the loose coupling between the business systems , and can realize reliable and stalwart news transmission through the service provider of news. JMS have met the need of the different mutual behavior of the heterogeneous platform under the distributed environment. XML describes and exchanges data with the form that has nothing to do with the platform, language and protocol, and it's self-describing makes it suitable for data interchange between different applications. XML has become the industrial standard of data expression and information exchangegraudually, and offered an effective way to interchange data between heterogeneous databases.This paper researchs the methods of heterogeneous database integration based on Hubei traffic plan of science and technology project "Hubei ganghang E-government system", and proposes a integrated model ofheterogeneous database based on JMS and XML, and applys the model theory to Hubei Ganghang E-government System.The article analyses domestic and international research status and the existing problems on heterogeneous database's integration firstly. Secondly, it introduces JMS and XML, and analyses the advantage in realizing of two kinds of technology that constructs the data communication between heterogeneous databases. Thirdly, it puts forward the goal and subject matter of integration of heterogeneous database, and proposes a integrated model of heterogeneous database based on JMS and XML by the analysis of database integrated scheme , means and form of transmitting data , accessing heterogeneous database. Finally, it realizes this model system through setting up central database and realizing key technologys, and applys this model system to Hubei GangHang E-government System to get the anticipated purpose.
