Study Of Integration Techniques On Heterogeneous Database Based Web

Integration Techniques on Heterogeneous Database is a hotspot of the study of Database .On the day of that develops rapidly, how to integrate kinds of different databases of distributed on situation, autonomous on management, Heterogeneous on pattern is an important subject. This article make a tentative discussion on Integration Techniques on Heterogeneous Database based Web, and give an Integration method. The frist part mainly introduces the basic concept of Heterogeneous Database, the main techniques adopted on integration , the purpose on realization of Heterogeneous Database and the problem to be solved of modeling ,and finally put forward a concrete integration method . This method first utilizes DD to construct a central virtual database, then turns the operation on the central virtual database to that on member database through data mapping , so it reaches the purpose to access each member database. The second part introduces some kinds of familiar accessing techniques based Wed ,such as CGI, Server API, and discusses the virtues and disadvantages of these techniques. The third part introduces the popular Java techniques and its JDBC. This article studies the network database scheme based JDBC/ODBC bridge,the special network Heterogeneous Database scheme based JDBC as well as Heterogeneous Database integration scheme that adopts Java RMI mechanism,and point out their shortages of these scheme. Then I advise to utilize distributed object standard CORBA to solve the problem above. The fourth part introduces the background of that distributed object standard CORBA came into being,the basic specification of CORBA,the system structure of CORBA,the protocol GIOP and IIOP adopted to communicate between ORB ,and finally introduces some CORBA products. The fifth and the sixth part introduces a Web integration model on Heterogeneous Database based CORBA. Though this model can overcome the shortage of the model based Java RMI, it has shortage to be solved. This text puts forward a Heterogeneous Database integration model based CORBA which can solve the problem above,then analyses the trait of this kind of model,such as compositive parts of model,the function Of each part,the measures that these parts communicates,the measures used to realize the model, the application, of the model and the advantage and shortage of the model.
