Firstly, this paper gave a simple introduction about microfluidic analytical chip, which includes its development and actuality, structure, principle and characteristics. And then we described the the detection system of microfluidic analytical chip, especially the fluorescent detection system. Moreover, we analyzed how fluorescent was produced, the principle and methods of fluorescent detection. According to the actuality of the detection system of microfluidic chip, we realized that the performance of the current detection system can not match the request of the microfluidic chip on micromation and integration. In other way, CMOS image sensor developed quickly and its image quality is close to CCD, furthermore, its consumption is less and more propitious to integration. So we chose to use CMOS image sensor in the detection of micrfluidic chip, and hope that the detection system can be simpler through using CMOS image sensor to achieve imaging without lens.Our job mainly includes two parts. One is to electro-ocular to acquire the image of microfluidic chip with the help of microscope and analyze the image. Then we put our emphases on developing image collecting and processing system based on CMOS image sensor.After comparing the usual methods to build embedded image collecting and processing system, we worked out the scheme which is to use CMOS, FPGA and DSP to build the system. This method exerts the strongpoint of FPGA and DSP. As we know, FPGA has good perform in control, and DSP' instructions are abundant, software developing is flexible. DSP also has good expansibility and upgrade. In this part, our task covers the development of hardware and software. On developing hardware, designing the connection of all the hardware is important. Software development consists of the software of FPGA and DSP, and the communication between DSP and computer.Through the research work on this project, we believe that the embedded image collecting and processing system based on CMOS image sensor will have a good prospect in the field of microfluidic analytical chip.
