At present fault diagnosis has been paid more attention to acquaint step by step. With the expansion, automatization, acceleration and complication of mechanical devices, fault diagnosis is getting very complex. Single and independent monitoring and fault diagnosis system can't meet the build-in needs of successive production in modern industries, but the distributed system based on internet is open, can make knowledge sharing, rescources from different developer cooperate to solve the diagnosis problems and avoid over-development again. It' s the main developing stream recently.Against the difficulty in developing and maintening, defects of traditional monitoring and fault diagnosis system based on C/S mode, B/S mode is put forword to establish a remote online monitoring and fault diagnosis system. All the development,maintenance and upgrade are beared by the server.Client only needs to install the Internet Explorer and can master the spot status in time through the URL, which realized trully thin client.To the question of guaranteeing the real-time and accuracy in transferring the data, the integration of CORBA and SOAP/Web Service is employed.By the means of request and response, the origin data can be directly transferred by data servoprogramme. It accelerated the transferring of real-time data and guaranteed that clients can get real-time and accurate data.Using fire wall and password system assured thoroughly the network' s safety.In this project, the author developed a set of software by C++Builder adapted for the rolling mill test-bed , which can perform real-time data acquisition, processing, indication, fault prognosis, transferring real-time data, saving data, managing the database and monitoring the The real-time status on the Internet. It also can process the stored data in time-domain, frequency-domain and amplitude-domain so as to extract signature, analyze trend and locate the fault.
