According to the project that contains the study and design of state monitoring and fault diagnosis system of large crucial equipments in a certain domestic oil company that circumrotate in high speed, The dissertation is made. Based on the detailed analysis of the old Monitoring and Diagnosis system and requirements of the new system, starting from the whole design of the data acquisition workstation, It discusses the design idea and key technology of the software and hardware which consists of the workstation. Besides, It also analyzes and designs the database on the server and solves the conflict of the large scale of data acquisition and quick enquiry.At last, Taking advantage of the technology of CORBA, It unities the three sub-systems into a distributed one and links it to CIMS of the Company.Chapter one introduces not only goal and significance of theories of conditionmonitoring and fault diagnosis, but also actualities and the background of this project. It also analyzes the requirements of users and mentions the main task of this dissertation.Based on the analysis and comparison of all the present Monitoring and Diagnosis systems, Chapter two provides a suitable whole layout of the Expander's M&D system and designing of the software and hardware. It also provides the key technology of the data acquisition. Using the technology of the distributed system, It chooses a network for the M&D system.Charter three discusses the hardware design of the data acquisition workstation. It discusses the principle of circuit and function of several kinds of card for processing the different signal. Meantime, It analyzes the error and performance of the cards manufactured by ourselves.Charter four focuses on the software design of the workstation which is divided into two parts. One is data acquisition, and the other is data transferring. It solves the problem that takes the suitable methods of data acquisition under several kinds of status of the equipments and realizes the function of "blackbox". The part of data transferring gives the protocol of the data communication (the definition of the data structure) and the efficient method of the data transferring under the circumstance of the network disconnection. Finally, It discusses the problem of data transferring which took place in the Compressor's M&D system and solves this problem.Chapter five creates a framework based on the technology of CORBA, and integrates the three sub-systems. Firstly, It introduces the basic theories of CORBA. With the help of the detailed developing tools, it completes a system which has the ability of tolerance and the balance of loading.Chapter six focuses on the database. Facing to the continuous data acquisition and saving, How to solve the conflict between the large scale of data acquisition and quick enquiry and limitation the size of the database. Based on the experiences accumulated in the several years, it gives a convinced solution.Chapter seven, the final part of this dissertation, summarizes the work, presents conclusion and prospect of developing condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system of large crucial equipment.
