The Construction And Research Of Qingdao Engineering Geological GIS

With the development of GIS, it shows more and more applications. As one part of the construction of the " digital Qingdao" engineering, Qingdao Engineering Geological GIS (QGGIS) is analyzed in this paper.This paper deals with the necessity to construct QGGIS .The construction of QGGIS includes the compartmentalizing of standard layer of soil, designing of the software, the construction of the database. In the base of the function of engineering geology database, this paper is major in the introducing of the option of plat, design and construction of database. The data of the system has property of multi-source, large, multi-kind, multivariate and multidimensional. This paper discusses the structure of the database.QGGIS has been built successfully and has been used in some living project examples. It appears an innovative development and research.
