Development Of Thematic Applications And Distributed System Based On The Basic Geographic Information Database

With the progress of society and the improving level of information technology, GIS technology has made considerable progress. Now it has been achieved in the application of large-scale relational database system(Oracle、SQL Server,etc). In recent years, to establish the organic combination of GIS system and the Surveying and mapping technology, many of the GIS mapping staff or personnel at home and abroad continued to explore and practice.This paper is aimed at the provincial basic geographic information database application and distribution service, research and proposed the thematic distribution and application technology of the basic geographic information database provide targeted and high accuracy thematic map and data information service for all levels of government and all sectors of society. Firstly, this paper briefly describes the background, domestic, international situation and so on. Then, based on the theory of the basic geographic information database of Anhui Province, In order to implement the basic geographic information database thematic application and distribution system these was three key technologies:ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS Server and Geodatabase. The overall design of the system has taken on B/S and C/S mode combines policy. That means the client/server and browser/server mode was merged into one complete system. In the part of C/S, the main functions of the basic geographic information database thematic application and distribution system include:data browse and query, data distribution and log, privilege management. In the part of B/S, the basic geographic information database thematic application and distribution system was mainly to release the basic geographic information data and services in the internet. In the final this paper concludes the significance of the thematic application and distribution system, noted some deficiencies in the system and raised further outlook.
