With the global warming and disaster weather happening,public require that weather and geographic information system should have better service quality and immediacy,so automatic monitoring system of weather and geology has caught wide public attention.The topic of this thesis has very important actual and practical significance.On the basis of study on the automatic monitoring system of weather and geology,this paper brings forward an overall design according to detailed market research and remand analysis.And it also finished the design of the software and hardware.This system mainly includes sensor,communication network and monitoring device.For the sensor part:according to all kinds of requisite information on weather and geology,this paper has improved the electrocircuit of the sensor,and adopts fiber-sensor for the design of information collection.For the information transportation par:this paper form the net on the basis of ZigBee technology,and adopt ZigBee to design the sensor node and interface to GSM/GPRS.For the system monitoring part:this paper give an overall design what is composed of sensor-software,coordinator-software and the monitoring computer software.Automatic monitoring system of weather and geology raised by this paper is an efficient way to monitor and collect the information of weather and geology.This system could improve the quality of our nation's weather and geology service.Besides,achievement of this thesis has reference value for other similar automatic monitoring system.This thesis is composed of six chapters,namely,introduction,relevant technology,overall design,hardware design,software design and overlook.
