The Research Of The Centralized Management System Of The Instrument And Equipment In The Laboratory

The instrument and equipment in the laboratory are mostly adopted and managed artificially at present. With the enlargement of the laboratory scale, the personnel and the equipment increase correspondingly, so the difficulty of the management of the instrument and equipment is greater and greater. The more administrators are needed, but the instrument and equipment control system is not perfect. It is a subject in front of us that how to make the management more scientific, modern, standard and systematic. The centralized management system of the laboratory instrument and equipment is put forward under such environment.In this subject a centralized management system of the laboratory instrument and equipment has been studied and designed. Its purpose is providing a design of a set of practical devices for management of laboratory instrument and equipment, for the new and high technology to be selected.From the point of view of the whole management system, this paper regards the whole centralized management system of the laboratory instrument and equipment as a research object. The main research contents are as follows:1. Systematic Database. Database is the basic element of the centralized management system in the laboratory. Using the relevant theory of the database, we set up data model of three entities in the centralized management system (the instrument, user and administrator), analyze the attribute of the entity and the relationship among them and have established the relation database according to the need of the instrument centralized management system of the laboratory. This is the most important condition of the realization of the centralized management system of laboratory instrument.2. The visualization of management functions. According to theneeds of the system, two different operation subsystems for user and administrator are set up respectively. The administrator subsystem aims mainly at the management of the whole system. The user subsystem pays attention to the user how to use the instrument, because the user need not care about the management of the system. Using Visual Basic 6.0 as the visual tool, we realize the different operations of users and administrator. In order to examine the design of the centralized management system, under the imitating environment of the laboratory instrument uses, the operating position of the instrument is written down, in order to analyze whether the design of the function of the management system is rational or not.3. The transmission of the data. The data transmission of host computer and the microcomputer system of the door is realized through RS-232. Management host computer' s function is mainly sending a message to control the use of instrument to microcomputer of the door, and then microcomputer of door system moves according to the received order and returns the information to the host computer. The host computer writes down the use information in the database. The realization of the main communication function of the host computer mainly makes use of MSComm controlling part in Visual Basic 6.0. The realization of data transmission of microcomputer of the door relies on programming 8051.
