With the development of computer technology and Internet,it is possible for Engineering and Technology Institute of Baoshan College to realize its informational and automation management of the experimental equipment and materials.A large number of laboratory equipment and materials are introduced into the laboratory of Engineering and Technology Institute of Baoshan College every year.Thus it is necessary to study and analyze an information system for laboratory equipment and materials management to develop the management of equipment and materials to a standardized,programmed and standardized way and Integrate and optimize the system and other management systems of the college at the same time to achieve data sharing among departments.The article starts from the actual demand of the laboratory of Engineering and Technology Institute of Baoshan College,combining advanced information management technology with equipment and materials management business and with the using of object oriented programming method in developing a set of experimental equipment and material management information system.Firstly,the article launches a comprehensive study on business needs of the system,each department's function structure of the college and roles of software users.Next,the article analyzes the former service module by using specific flowing chart and optimizes and redesigns the laboratory equipment and material management information system.The article analyzes and designs seven main service modules and their sub-modules of basic information management,equipment using management,equipment maintenance management,material consumption management,equipment and materials procurement management,basic data management and system management.The article describes the functional cases and package diagram in development of different unit structures in the part of functional analysis.The article the relationships between the entity classes which are contained in the system database and completes the database table design in the part of data analysis.The system is aimed at improving the working efficiency of college's laboratory equipment and materials management and the improving laboratory operation efficiency at the same time.It helps to change the traditional backward management mode and save manpower cost and office expenses.
