Combined with the project, the emergency supervision and control system of Taihu sluice station, some typical problems of automation system of sluice station are analyzed and studied in this paper. It covers following problems: signal collection, transmitting and processing, flow rate measurement, the general structure of computer supervision and control system, control method and security of network, communication of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and the reliability of system.The main work of this paper is to analyze and study these problems, which have mentioned above in order to provide practical value in some ways to improve the control and management level of sluice station. The work is carried out as follows:Firstly, In order to realize high reliability and security, all kinds of information and status must be get generally, exactly and timely, the technology of signal collection, transmitting and processing in sluice automatic control system is discussed, the methods of flow rate measurement are also discussed in detail,Secondly, the system design principle, structure used generally in sluice station is given in this paper; In addition, sluice control method and the network safety are also discussed.Thirdly, this paper studies some problems in the PLC network including communication methods, PLC network topologic structure and protocols in subnet. It also studies the communication between PLC and IPC.Finally, the factories that may lower system's reliability are studied and the measures that are used to enhance system's reliability are discussed in this paper.
