Along with the development of information technology in water resource industry,Sluice Automatic Monitoring System is attracted more and more attention. In this paper,the main content of system integration and the common requirements of project design are introduced firstly,in order to promote the system integration in the direction of Sluice automatic monitoring system. And then some advanced technologies used in Sluice automatic monitoring system are discussed,included distributed control system (DCS),fieldbus,industrial Ethernet,and Programming Logic Controller (PLC). In the paper design principles of the system with functional analyzing are brought forward. On the basis of these above all,two system frameworks are provided,distributed sluice control system and centralized sluice control system,with a comparatively analysis of the both. At last the design and application of monitoring and control software is introduced. The paper emphatically illustrates a method to optimize the centralized sluice control by making use of selection without sources,which not only extends its usage,but also improves it" reliability and reduces the cost,in order to adapt to the requirement of sluice control in ou country. And then a reliability analysis of this improved system is given.
