The Research On Monitoring System For VSAT Network

VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a hotspot in satellite communications arid has been widely used in communications,finance and enterprise network . It is very important to monitor the running course of VSAT network for providing better service to users and improving performance and communication quality of the network. Based on the network controlling signal from the satellite station and monitoring policy,the monitoring system controls demodulation terminal and collecting record device to acquire signal and monitor VSAT network effectively. On the basis of the VSAT network controlling signal and elements to monitor,we bring forward the research scheme of the monitoring system for VAST network and especially study the analysis of network controlling signal,real-time controlling technology and the application of database. According to those,the monitoring system is developed on Windows 2000. The main research work and achievements are following:Analyzing the running principle,course and requirements to monitor,we make certain the design principle of hardware and software and put forward the scheme of monitoring system and the function modules of software. We bring forth the scheme of analysis to network signal and detailed realizing method by analyzing kinds of network controlling signal. We make use of serial communication to control demodulation terminals and UDP of computer network to communicate with collecting record device in terms of character of each equipment. Weuse advanced database technology to analyze data to improve performance and communication quality of the network and provide interface to other systems for information sharing and all-around using. We make very kind of advanced technology such as multi-thread and DLL in Windows 2000 to improve the real-time performance and realize the currency of the system.
