The Design And Implementation Of Terminal Management Software Of VSAT Satellite Communication

With high speed development of satellite communication system,the requirements for this are increasing in modern society.In emergency case,traditional communication equipment is damaged and can't be recovered in short time.It is established communication link easily by flexible satellite communication device.But the satellite frequency resource rent expenses are high,and the terminal station for communication operation is inconvenient with the existing software and hardware system.So,my company proposes satellite communication network management system.The satellite communication network in this paper is a KU band VSAT system.It is comprised of a hub station and many terminal stations.Hub station is center station and manages all registered terminal stations.The communication link between any two terminal stations is established by hub station.This will make better use of satellite frequency band resource,reduce user cost and be convenient to use and manage terminal station.In order to realize this object,the terminal station needs a dedicated network management modem to keep connection with hub station.The terminal station can apply communication by this network management modem when it needs.After the hub station confirms,the dedicated communication modem can be set to communicate with another terminal station.Since my company has related hardware,but it lacks communication protocol and easy user interface.Therefore,it need design communication protocols between the hub station and terminal station and develop a friendly,simple,stable performance management software to process related communication protocol,manage terminal devices and support simple and friendly operation interface.Communication protocol is the basis of the software.whatever remote communication between hub station or terminal station or local device parameters,it will need communication protocol.It will discuss how to design remote communication protocol and local monitor protocol in this paper.It will put emphasis on discussing remote communication needs what kind of communication workflow.The terminal management software connects with the network management modem and communication modem by serial port.So,serial port communication is the basis of this software.Any data that will be sent or received relies on serial port.But there is no existing serial port module that meets my requirement for use.It will discuss how to encapsulate windows serial API with modern software technology to make it easy to use,efficient and stability.Based on the serial communication module and the communication protocol,it will discuss how to design user interface to make the interface easy to use and make the interface display part separate from the data process.For the communication software,the realization of the communication protocol is the key.For local monitor,it will discuss how to send the local query command,how to realize the timeout mechanism by multi threads and how to handle the exception communication.For remote communication,it will discuss how to design and implement a set of remote communication protocols.Finally,it will discuss software test.It will design testing methods according to the characteristics of the modules.Due to the software mainly handles the communication data,the exception communication data is not easy to appear in real environment.Therefore,it will use serial assistant software to simulate exception communication cases.This will find potential risk more easily.The final integrative test results show that the software can accurately reflect the working status of hardware devices and very convenient to communicate with the other remote station.
