The Kazaks are one of the very few minorities, whose population is over one million in our country, and they are a cross-border people. With the large-scale development of western China and the backdrop of building a full-scale construction of a well-off society, the improvement in politics, economy and culture is of great strategic significance while the development of the cause of education is closely linked to these aspects. However, the domestic research on the kazak minority are mainly concentrated on its history, origin, language, arts and customs and the research on the relationship between the development of education and social change is much less. Based on the above considerations, the theme of the present study is about the Kazak educational development and changes in society and culture by reviewing previous education and the development of grassland culture background. The present study starts with the statistics from the Kazak education development and the population distribution of career. It thoroughly analyzes the current situation, which is both worried and glad. The study also attempts to reflect on how to make a better promotion on the Kazak social and cultural changes.The organization of the thesis is as followings:Introduction: the significance of the present study, the current situation and research methodology. Some relevant general ideas are defined such as nationality education, nationality, education, culture and change in culture.Part one: a general introduction to Kazak people. This chapter presents a brief description of the basic conditions from the population and its distribution, location and the environment, age, level of education.Part two: Kazak education development. The history of the development of Kazak education is sorted out from the three periods of ancient, contemporary and modern times.Part three: Kazak traditional education is the product of the grassland cultural environment. This chapter adopts the evolution of history as clues, tracing back the natural environment, the socio-economic conditions, concepts and arts to form this traditional culture and describing the system of social organization. This part also investigates the interaction between culture and education..Part four: the reconstruction of Kazak modern education and grassland culture. This chapter attempts to describe the reconstruction from the perspectives of the predicament of Kazak modern educational development and Kazak vocational differentiation due to education.Part five: Conclusion, including problems and thoughts. Based on the analyses of the above parts, this section illustrates the relationship between school education and inheritance of traditional culture in the process of Kazak educational development from the current situation of grassland culture development. This part also points out some problems we need to attention.Part 5: Conclusion, problems and thoughts. This section from the Kazakh steppe culture to the development of the situation, part of the above analysis, Kazakhstan described the development of education in school education and the relationship between traditional culture and the need to pay attention to the succession issue.
