A Study On Postgraduate Student Aid System In China

Our postgraduate education has been exposed number of problems with its development, such as the quality problem, the competition problem of international. These problems made the reform of postgraduate education. As an important part of the postgraduate education, postgraduate student education aid system has become key part of reform. So this paper mainly analysis the history of postgraduate education and its aid system, the current situation and main problems of post-graduate student aid system after the reform of graduate cultivation mechanism, and the resolutions of improving our postgraduate education funding system with methods of Literature research, comparative research, historical research to provide reference for the improvement of our country postgraduate education aid system.The article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduced the background, significance and the study status quo of the subject, then put forward the research ideal and method and summarized the characters and possible innovation. The innovation reflected in two aspects: One explained why it is necessary to improve the postgraduate student aid system of our country based on review the history of our country's post-graduate education and it's aid system; Another analyzed the status and problems of our country postgraduate student aid system through investigated the methods about the aid form ten typical university.The second chapter described the importance of improve postgraduate student aid system by analysis the history of postgraduate education and its funding system. The developed divided into three stages:National plan recruit stage, National plan recruit stage and entrust stage, combined with National plan recruit stage and entrust stage and at one's own expenses stage. The history of post-graduate student aid system have four phases:country's grants system phase, country's grants system phase and scholarships phase, country's grants system phase and scholarships stage and "three helps" allowance phase, diversified phases before the reform. Through the review of both historical, this paper explained the important of postgraduate student aid system for the reform of our country's postgraduate education cultivation mode. The third chapter analysis the mainly problems of postgraduate student aid system depend on collect the aid measures of relevant collage. The author explained the current situation of our country' post-graduate student aid system from seven point of views, such as Graduate student aid system structure, scholarships, "three helps" allowances, special scholarship, poverty assistance, national student loan, aid management. After, author think the problem contains four:the aid type is single, aid mount is lower, lack of the sources of money, management need to improve.The fourth chapter offer four suggestions for improve postgraduate education aid system:the government and the society must pay more attention to the postgraduate education aid system, made the pattern of scholarships and grant is more richer, expansion the post-graduate student loan programs, improve the management system.
