Clinical Investigation Of Atrophy Of Tongue Papillae In 254 Patients Of Oral Submucous Fibrosis

Objective:(1)TO explore the incidence of the formation of Atrophy of tongue papillae, and to analyze the association of Atrophy of tongue papillae formation and the age, sex, hobbies of smoking and drinking, as well as the habit of betel quid chewing. (2))TO observe and analyze the clinical features, the Pathogenesis and Clinical manifestation differentiation and treatment of Atrophy of tongue papillae of Patienis with oral submueous fibrosis.Methods:Two hundreds and fifty four paitients with oral submucous fibrosis who were treated in the DePartment of Stomatology,Scecond Xiangya Hospital of Central South University between May 2005 and Mar 2010,were investigated as sample (1) with clinical information,Including the age,sex,hobbies of smoking and drinking,the mouth of Pening, Atrophy of tongue papillae.Thirty Patints with oral submucous fibrosis and Atrophy of tongue papillae formation concurrently who were treated in the DePartment of Stomatology,Seceond Xiangya Hospital of Central South University between Dec 2009 and Apr 2010,were investigated as sample (2) with clinical features,including the quantity size,shape,region to break out frequently,the width of Atrophy of tongue papillae.Frequencies statistics was Performed for all the results of sample(1) and sample(2),and Chi-square test was Performed for Atrophy of tongue papillae formation and the age,sex,hobbies of smoking and drinking, the Quantity and Frequency of betel quid chewing.Results:(1)there are 153 patients of Atrophy of tongue papillae in the 254 patients of oral submucous fibrosis,and the incidence formation of Atrophy of tongue papillae is 60.2%.(2) the results of chi-test of age,sex,hobbies of smoking and drinking were p>0.05,therefore the formation of Atrophy of tongue papillae has no concern with the age,sex,hobbies of smokingd and drinking;the resullt of chi-test of the habit of betel quid chewing was p<0.05,therefore the formation of Atrophy of tongue papillae has concern with the habit of betel quid chewing.(3)In the 30 patients of sample (2),there are 28 patients who express two sides tongue of Atrophy of tongue papillae,just 2 patients were found expression in all tongue of Atrophy of tongue papillae.most of all patients behave 5-10mm width Atrophy of tongue papillae.Conelusion:(1) Atrophy of tongue papillae formation is a common clinical sign of oral submucous fibrosis,as a disease that should be distinguished from other diseases of Atrophy of tongue papillae, and it should be received considerable attention(2) The position of Atrophy of tongue papillae of OSF often ocurr in two sides of tongue,and the quality of the areas of Atrophy of tongue papillae is most soft,partly is pliable.The color of the areas of Atrophy of tongue papillae is partly pale.(3) The formation of Atrophy of tongue papillae has no concern with the age,sex,hobbies of smokingd and drinking,but with the habit of betel quid chewing...
