Objectives:To analyze the clinical feature of oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) coexisted with oral lichen planus (OLP), To find the occurrence regularity and the pathological characteristics of osf concomitant with olp.Methods:57 cases with osf concomitant with olp were collected. The clinical data of 57 patients with OSF coexisted with OLP were retrospectively reviewed.Observation of lesion tissues on Pathological Section show that microscopic lesions of these cases. Results:There were male 55 cases, female 2 cases. Most patients were aged 20-39.the percentage is 77.2%.the common pathogenic sites of osf are pterygomandibular ligament(57 cases),soft palate(18cases),tongue(15cases),buccal(7cases).the common pathogenic sites of olp are buccal(35 cases),tongue(19 cases),gingival(3 cases). the most common kind of olp lesions is white stonecrop, which were 38 cases, the percentage is 66.7%. There are 7 cases which occurred lingual papilla atrophy. The other aspects of pathological characteristics,40 cases occurred epithelial hyperplasia, and 17 cases showed epithelial atrophy in connective tissue,22 cases showed Filamentous collagen fiber,28 cases showed accumulation of collagen fiber,7 cases occurred glassy degeneration of collagen fiber.Conclusions:1.osf concomitant with olp mostly occurred in 20-39 years old.2.osf concomitant with olp have the characteristics of osf and olp,but there is no erosion type and limitation of mouth opening.3.the mostly change of epithelial tissue of osf concomitant with olp is epithelial hyperplasia, and the collagen fiber in connective tissue is changing in early and middle periods...
